Carol Ford lives in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She has enjoyed writing as a hobby for much of her adult life.  Married for over 40 years, she has two sons and two grandsons.  They inspire many of her stories. She signed up for community classes in creative writing in her middle years.  There she met like-minded folks and they eventually became a writing group that met monthly. This is one of the stories she wrote during that time.
